Meet the Orlando Team Behind Warden Gate Repair Orlando

We’re a small, focused crew that works on one thing: gates. Not gates and fences, not gates and general contracting. Gates, electric gate systems, and the motors that move them. Our Orlando team of four has a combined 51 years in the access control and low-voltage trades, and every one of us wears the Threshold Standard on the job, which means you’ll know exactly who’s arriving, what they’ll do, and how much it costs before a single tool comes off the truck. Cole Rafferty has owned this Orlando location since 2008, and he’s still the one who answers the phone when a gate loses its mind at 11 p.m.

Our People

Cole Rafferty – Owner and Lead Technician

Cole started turning wrenches on gate operators in 2004, four years before Warden Gate Repair Orlando opened as part of the Threshold Group family. He’s a factory-trained tech on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule, and he’s the guy other techs call when a sliding gate operator keeps tripping its thermal overload and nobody can figure out why. Cole writes all of Warden Orlando’s technical procedures and is the one who signs every 365-Day Done Right Promise. When he’s not chasing down a limit switch gremlin in Baldwin Park’s brick streets or a photo-eye misalignment in Avalon Park, he’s probably rebuilding a carburetor on a 1972 Honda CB350 that he’s been “almost done” with since 2018.

Marcus T. – Senior Installer

Marcus has 14 years on gate and access control systems, with a deep background in hydraulic swing gate operators and embedded loop detection. He joined Warden Gate Repair Orlando in 2016 after running his own low-voltage installation route in the Orlando area, and he’s the lead on full motor replacements and new gate operator installs. Marcus holds a Florida low-voltage electrical certification and is our main FAAC and Viking specialist. He also keeps a pretty serious container garden going in his backyard in College Park, which means he understands exactly how badly a rusted gate hinge can fight you in Florida humidity. If your gate post has shifted in sandy soil and the operator is binding, Marcus will have it diagnosed inside of twenty minutes.

Elena V. – Service Coordinator

Elena has been with Warden Gate Repair Orlando since 2019 and is the one who makes sure every customer gets a technician name and photo before that tech ever knocks on the door. Before Warden, she spent eight years in dispatch for commercial electrical contractors, so she knows how to sequence a day around traffic on I-4 and still get your scheduled window right. Elena handles our live phone coverage overnight shifts, which means she’s talked more than a few Lake Nona residents through an emergency release when a swing gate wouldn’t budge at 2 a.m. She’s fluent in Spanish and English. Outside Warden, Elena is a competitive amateur baker, and her guava pastelitos are the reason nobody on the crew complains about Monday morning meetings.

Devon R. – Apprentice Technician

Devon joined the Orlando crew in early 2024 as an apprentice after two years with a local security camera and intercom company. He’s currently working through his gate operator certifications on photo-eye alignment, safety edge systems, and single-phase motor controls, and he shadows Marcus and Cole on every call where a gate’s safety features get worked on. Devon is also our Ghost Controls and Mighty Mule go-to for residential swing and sliding kits, because he’s wired a couple hundred of them in apartment communities around Kissimmee and Hunters Creek. He’s the youngest on the team and the only one who can listen to true crime podcasts while logging parts inventory without mixing up a single LiftMaster 41A5021 limit switch. If Devon’s your tech, he’ll tell you exactly what he did, why he did it, and what the written price covers before he starts.

One Standard, Every Job

Every one of us, from Cole down to Devon on his third week, works under the Threshold Standard. That’s the name we put on the vetting and badging process every tech passes before they set foot on an Orlando driveway. Background-checked. Identity-verified. Photo ID badge shown at the door, every single visit. You get the tech’s name and photo sent to you before arrival, so there’s no mystery van moment. We write the price down before any work starts, and that price doesn’t change unless you approve a change yourself. Every repair carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing: if the repair fails within a year, the return visit is free. No fine print, no “well, actually.” That’s how Cole has run this Orlando shop for 17 years, and it’s how the whole Warden team works. A warden is someone trusted to watch over a place and keep it secure. That’s not a slogan. It’s the whole point of the job.
